Columbia's planned community includes many homes from the 1970s and 1980s — a generation where traditional plaster was still common before drywall took over. We repair and restore plaster in Columbia homes regularly.
Our team serves all of Howard County, including Columbia's many villages and the surrounding communities. Columbia was founded in 1967 as one of the nation's first fully planned communities, developed by James W. Rouse after he began quietly acquiring farmland in Howard County in 1962. The community's ten distinct villages were built out in stages between 1967 and 1990, so housing stock ranges from late-1960s and 1970s homes — some with original plaster walls — through 1980s construction built primarily with drywall.
